Ok, Manhunt war ein wirklich brutales Spiel (wurde teilweise in Europa verboten), selten so etwas gesehen, aber es hatte auch einer der dichtesten Atmosphären die ich je in einem Computerspiel gesehen habe (ja, ich habe es gespielt, wenn auch nicht Fertig, mein Hauptkritikpunkt war eher die Steuerung).

Jetzt wurde Manhunt 2, der Nachfolger, in England sozusagen auf den Index gesetzt bzw. verboten (wäre erst am 10. July veröffentlicht worden). Was macht Take -Two, der Publisher? Es stellt den Vertrieb des Spiels vorübergehend ein:

“Take-Two Interactive Software has temporarily suspended plans to distribute Manhunt 2 for the Wii or PlayStation platforms while it reviews its options with regard to the recent decisions made by the British Board of Film Classification and Entertainment Software Rating Board,” a representative told GameSpot. “We continue to stand behind this extraordinary game. We believe in freedom of creative expression, as well as responsible marketing, both of which are essential to our business of making great entertainment.”

Geh bitte, das find ich ja nur dämlich, Spiel ist Spiel, auch wenn es erst ab 18 verkaufbar ist wird es sich gut verkaufen.

Oder ist das ganze wieder ein mal ein Marketing-Gag um mehr Öffentlichkeit zu haben?
